Miss Merry Christmas Scholarship
Pageant will feature scholarship prize

Unmarried young ladies age 16 to 21 are encouraged to compete in the Miss Merry Christmas Scholarship Pageant Saturday, Nov. 19 as part of the Chamber’s “It’s a White County Christmas.”

Application forms are available online at or from the Chamber office. Volunteer coordinators for the pageant are former Miss White County Fair queens Lacey Kosikowski Moore and Emily Immel Williams.

The pageant will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19 at the Carmi White County Middle School and will include both formal wear and winter holiday wear, as well as an interview and on-stage question.

Contestants must attend the festival’s Taste of Chocolate event Nov. 18, as well as the Reindeer Run on Nov. 19 as part of their entry requirements. The queen will be expected to participate in many of the remainder Christmas festival activities.

The queen is guaranteed at least a $400 cash prize, with the runner-up receiving $100. Additional scholarships may be provided based on money received at the door as admission.
